About Me

Teaching has always been my number one passion. I am so excited to work with you and your child! It is going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures! I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us. I also thought you might like to know a little about me.

I was born in Staten Island, New York, but moved to Jackson, New Jersey when I was six years old and have lived there ever since.

I went to Jackson Memorial High School and from there went to Ocean County College. After receiving my Associate’s Degree, I went to Georgian Court College and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Education and History in 2013. I am also currently enrolled at Walden University to earn my Master’s Degree in elementary reading and mathematics.

I have been teaching for almost five years; two years subbing multiple grades, one year in first grade, and one year in kindergarten. I also completed a year and a half in K Plus.

When I am not in the classroom, I love to spend time with my family. I also like to enjoy some of my hobbies such as reading, snowboarding, crafting, working out, cooking, shopping (mostly at Target), and traveling (I love Disney)!

This will be my third full year here at Robert L. Horbelt Elementary School and I could not be more thrilled! I love teaching little learners and it is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. It is important to keep communication open throughout the year so please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. {abelfiore@barnegatshools.com} I look forward to a wonderful year together!
