About Me

Teaching has always been my number one passion. I am so excited to work with you and your child! It is going to be a year full of fun, learning, and lots of adventures! I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us. I also thought you might like to know a little about me.

I was born in Staten Island, New York, but moved to Jackson, New Jersey when I was six years old and have lived there ever since.I went to Jackson Memorial High School and from there went to Ocean County College. After receiving my Associate’s Degree, I went to Georgian Court College and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in Education and History in 2013.

I have been teaching for three years; one year subbing multiple grades, one year in first grade,  one year in kindergarten, and last year I finished out the year doing kindergarten plus and fourth and fifth grade resource room. I also did my student teaching in a kindergarten class as well!

This will be my second full year here at Robert L. Horbelt Elementary School and I could not be more thrilled! I love teaching kindergarten and it is my mission to instill a love for learning in my students. It is important to keep communication open throughout the year so please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. {abelfiore@barnegatshools.com} I look forward to a wonderful year together!
